Graduating
Goshindō is a personal defense system designed to be an easy way to learn and increase your effectiveness in self-protection. Therefore, with training and dedication, it's entirely possible to train wherever you are, keeping in mind that for many techniques, a partner will be required.
Through the online grading system, I offer a way to receive feedback on your training and achieve certified grading.
The grading process is rigorous, aiming for the quality and satisfactory qualification of the student, so they can increase their chances of survival and even become a future representative of Goshindō in their region.
My students who train at the Dōjō and at home, and who also study through this online platform, progress at least twice as fast.

Below are some questions and answers:
To make the training closer to everyday life, we use black tactical pants and a black t-shirt with the symbol corresponding to the rank on the left side of the chest. Learn about the grading system by clicking here.
Training starts at the Mukyū level (Empty Level), and the student should begin practicing basic body movements as well as fundamental techniques.
Each technique should be practiced slowly; this way, the movements will become increasingly precise when performed at higher speeds.
Access to the next level will only be granted upon the student's approval for the next rank.
Time is quite relative. Each person is unique and has their individual abilities, so the time for each rank varies from person to person.
Understanding ability, learning capability, motor coordination development, and dedication are some factors that affect the time for ranks, so time is quite relative. There is no fixed time, but based on my years of martial arts experience, I've noticed an average time from the previous rank to the next one, which is as follows:
– 5th Kyū: 4 to 6 months..
– 4th Kyū: 4 to 6 months..
– 3rd Kyū: 4 to 6 months..
– 2nd Kyū: 4 to 6 months..
– 1st Kyū: 4 to 6 months..
– 1st Dan</em: 6 months to 1 year.
So, to reach 1st Dan, the minimum time is 2 years and 2 months. Of course, this is an average; some students may achieve it in 3 years or even 5 years, depending on how much they train, study, and their commitment to the art. It should also be taken into account that it's not just about memorizing the techniques; one must acquire the ability to perform them instinctively and naturally.
NOTE: Practitioners of Bujinkan, Aikidō, and Krav Maga can obtain graduations much faster due to their familiarity with twisting techniques.
In-person training is very important; training with different people and under the supervision of an instructor will always be the best option.
I recommend training online only if you truly don't have an instructor nearby.
To train and progress, it's ideal to have someone to train with you. Physical contact is important because there are techniques that you can't do alone, such as joint locks, holds, levers, strangles, and throws.
You should train with great care, executing the techniques slowly to avoid accidents.
Establish a daily routine with a minimum duration of one hour.
Each movement should be repeated many times to learn it.
Becoming a student, the rank content to be examined should be recorded without cuts and shared via Google Drive. I will thoroughly review and assess your skills, providing you with valuable feedback to inspire improvements in areas that may require it. It's ideal for you to have a friend to practice the techniques with, as techniques involving twists, locks, levers, and throws cannot be performed alone. If your friend wishes to train and be evaluated, they should become a member as well.
Remote evaluation can be conducted for grades 5th to 1st Kyū. The black belt evaluation must be done in person at my Dōjō. Of course, Kyū ranks can also be held in person, but for many students, the cost is too high due to the distance.
5º Kyū: R$160,00
4º Kyū: R$160,00
3º Kyū: R$160,00
2º Kyū: R$160,00
1º Kyū: R$160,00
1º Dan: R$320,00
2º Dan: R$480,00
3º Dan: R$640,00
4º Dan: R$800,00
5º Dan: R$960,00
Yes. After all, I will need to set aside time to carefully evaluate your movements.
The cost of each evaluation is R$280,00 which must be paid at the time of the request. This amount includes the evaluation (R$100.00), the issuance of the Kyū certificate (R$160.00), and the shipping of the certificate to your address, in case you are a distant student (R$20.00).
The T-shirt corresponding to your graduation can be acquired through the link that will be sent via WhatsApp.
If you fail the evaluation, a new assessment will be scheduled at no additional cost.
If you fail the evaluation a second time, there will be a charge of R$100.00 starting from the third attempt, so study and train with great dedication!
